Here they come, the first set of Christmas tree decorations.
These are ice crystals, it's not snowing in Sydney, but it's snowing inside my apartment ;-)

Made 14 of them in 4 days, not bad...

Project Gabriel - The Count Down 'Till Christmas

What is it?
As most of you must've already known.. I love knitting and crochet.
So, few months ago, I was thinking to do something special this christmas.
Something massive popped up in my mind.
What if, I decorate my place only with hand knitted stuff this Christmas??
Sounds like I'm biting more than I can chew?? Is it really??
We'll see :-)

Why Gabriel?
I was thinking about the project name, some tacky names initially came up. LOL
But, to bring Christmas back to its true spirit, I've decided to use a more appropriate name, so I chose Gabriel.
The story of Christmas begins when the angel Gabriel visited Mary, announcing that she is going to be a mother. But wait, not just any mother, a special one, a really really special one... and the story goes on... and on... and on.

So the project has officially started! Yay!!
To mark this wonderful beginning, I'm proudly presenting the first knitted stuff that is going to be my Christmas tree topper. Yep, up it goes on the tree!!

It's a Celestine star:

The original design doesn't have the beads, I added them to give them a bit of a shine. I think it will make a better tree topper.

I can't even begin to explain how I knitted this incredible piece of art. There is no simple way to explain it, give me a call if you do want to know, I'd rather talk you through it.

Designed by Berroco, a yarn company:

It took me 7 days to complete.

Crochet - Sweet and Short Child Cardigan in Panda Magnum

This is one of the mini project I've completed few days ago, using some left over yarn.
Super fast this one, 5 days to complete.

I have to say, I really enjoy crochet, it's fast, less hassle, and it turned out really good.
I think I have to make a crochet jacket for myself.. *idea...stay tuned...*

Crochet - Toohey's Bouncy Cat Toy

I know I haven't been blogging for a while :-) but I'm still here...
I'm just very busy with so many different projects at the moment..
Keep watching this space for lots of pictures of those projects, I think they will be ready in 2-3 weeks time.

Amongst all the major projects I'm currently working on, I got a chance to do some of the mini projects. This is one of them. It's a bouncy cat toy for Toohey.

This is Toohey and me:

Toohey's weird position (she looks comfortable in this position, it's probably a cat thing...):

Shy Toohey:

Now, the bouncy cat toy:

I put some bells in the ball, so it makes noise when it moves.

(Completed on the bus on the way home from work sometime last week...)

Cake - Indonesian Cheesecake Attempt No. 2

Yaayyy... I think I got it right this time...
It tastes just nice...
And this time, I spread the cream cheese before I cut the cake into 25 pieces.

I tried my best no to have them, I only tasted the corner parts :-)
