Oh wow... my last blog entry was in July...
What about that?
Apologise for the slack :-) I've been really busy these last few months.
And I haven't been my working on my craft either.

Anyways...
I just had my Lasik surgery last Friday and tonight was my first night being outside.
Wow, it sure is wonderful to see the world through 20/20 eyes. Hahaha....

I'm still getting used to this wonderful new world, I'm not sure if this is as expected but everything is so bright.
See, I've been wearing glasses for 20 years and I've never seen stuff this bright.
The light signs, cars' headlights, traffic lights, candles, they're so amazing!!!

Everything is soooo pretty and loving my ability to spot extra tiny sale signs everywhere. HA-HA!!

Seriously, this thing is worth the money.
Now, I just need to survive one more night without washing my hair...
Eugh, I feel so dirty...

Ribby Texture Dress in Patons Soft Haze

Patons Soft Haze is the best yarn I've ever worked with. I can't understand why they discontinued it. Bugger!
The pattern calls for 14 balls of yarn to complete the sweater, but I only had 12.
So, I had to sacrifice both my sleeves in return to a proper wide collar. Which is sooo worth it and beautiful.

This yarn is so soft and warm, I really enjoyed knitting the sweater. I got to use parts of the sweater as scarf when I was working on it at home. Hahaha...

Okay, enough chit chat, here comes the photos.
This is what it supposed to look like:

Without sleeves:

The pattern is unexpectedly simple:

The look from the back:

The collar that I love so much, I've never knitted anything like it before.

I wore it today with black leggings and long sleeve top with a pair of boots.

Hot Pink Stocking St Bolero with Rib Edges with Vivaldi and Alpaca from Garn Studio

This bolero is simply lovely. It is soft, flowy, and not itchy at all. The pattern is free from Garn Studio. It's using a combination of Vivaldi, which is a lace type yarn, and Alpaca, which is

It took me slightly longer to make than expected, around 11 days.
I was considering to make this in black colour, but, when I saw the hot pink colour, I just fell in love with it.
And the rest is history...

The sleeves are bat-wing type, you know, popular in the 80's era.

Up close look of the rib and the soft lace:

White Short Sleeves Bolero in Garn Studio Vienna Yarn

Long time no see my fellow bloggers. Please forgive my laziness.. (^_^)
As I've mentioned in my last post I have overtaken a couple more hobbies... This is so typical of me of course...
I've been busy practising my violin.

This cute little bolero was actually completed in April and it took only 9 days to complete surprisingly.

Unfortunately, I haven't got a chance to wear it, since the weather is too cold.

Again, the pattern is free from Garn Studio. Don't I love their website...

Oh my Singstar Pouch...

I love to sing (^_^). Everybody knows that.
I need something to keep my singstar microphones from dust, so, I used some spare yarn of Cleckheaton Merino Bambino to knit this little pouch.

With my singstar microphones in it:

Purple Ribs Top with Cleckheaton Country Yarns

This top is something I knitted a long time ago.
Thank goodness I lost weight.
Now I can wear it!! (^_^) Taa Daa....

Bobble and Lace Pattern Bolero

Hello everyone,
I'm back!! Apologize for the long absence... I have no excuse (^_^)

I've knitted this cute little bolero back in February (It's been a while, isn't it?) with Garn Studio Silke Alpaca yarn.

Boy, this bolero gave me so much trouble, I had to redo it a couple of times.
The technique is very unusual to me, in addition to the lace pattern and the bobble pattern.
Free pattern is up on the website.

Cascading bobble and lace pattern:

Another one to start 2010 - Cute Little Baby Beanies

I need to work on something when I started to go to work (that is, when I travel from home), so, I managed to finish these 2 beanies. They're exactly the same pattern, just using different colour of yarn:

Welcoming 2010!!

Hello everyone,
Sorry I haven't updated my blog for a while (^_^) Christmas and New Year time is the most wonderful time of the year and I spent my time with my beautiful family.

I wan to open 2010 with this baby vest that I knitted after the holiday was over (yes, I didn't knit between Christmas - New Year, I need holiday too!!).

This vest was originally a sweater, but, I ran out of yarn, so I made it into a vest instead. I love the colour of this yarn.

I love the edging on the vest, this is called the picot edging:
