Lace Shawl in Kid-Silk yarn

My friend’s birthday was on late May and I decided to knit this shawl for her.
Little did I know how difficult and intricate the pattern is.
I had trouble at the beginning because I did the yarn over incorrectly and I had to re-did it after completing 10-15 rows of the pattern. *sobs*

The shawl turned out to be really nice though. It took me 17 days to complete this, a week more than my prediction.

JBL Speaker Cover

Recently I bought a JBL Speaker that was on a good deal. When I received it, immediately I thought, ‘ O oh, I need to cover this thing,’ especially because of the speaker holes. They’re definitely going to collect dust.

So, I ransacked my stash to find leftover yarns and browsed through my knitting pattern books. I came across this really cute pattern that caused a fluffy and rug like effect.
Anyone interested in the pattern can contact me, I will have to type it to you since it’s in a hardcopy book.

Pink Baby Jacket with Raglan Sleeves and Turtle Neck

A colleague of mine had a new baby in May, so I decided to knit this cute little sweater for her.
The pattern is from Garnstudio and I also bought the recommended yarns for it.
I really love the pattern on the jacket and it’s such an interesting project to work on.

The yarn is very soft and the colour is just beautiful.

I also knitted a matching pair of socks to go along with the jacket.

Project completed in 18 days, finished on 29th April 2011.

Pot Holders and Coasters from leftover Garnstudio Safran yarns

I have lots of leftover Safran yarn from ‘Knitting - Summer Dress in Drops Safran and Peliza’ project. They’re in pretty colours too. ☺
So, I had been thinking on what to make out of them.
I decided on these cute pot holders from Garnstudio.

I only realised that the pot holder is knitted in circular after reading the pattern the second time.
Luckily I had enough yarn to complete them.

After completing 2 pot holders, I still have enough yarns to make these cute coasters.
They’re completed in garter stitch and I added some beads on the sides to make it even cuter.

Overall projects completed in 2 weeks, finished on 11th April 2011.

Cute Plastic Bag Holder

This is the first project I completed after I moved to my new place. ☺
I had almost 2 months break, to organise things and hunt for furniture and so on.

I threw out most of the plastic bags that I had before I moved and in 1.5 months I already collected so many plastic bags from grocery shopping. I really can’t believe this, so I invested in more green bags and now I really try to take them to go shopping.
Anyway, I don’t have any storage for these plastic bags and I googled around for a solution. Surprisingly I came across this pattern.

Since I have lots of acrylic yarn in different colours, I decided to crochet this plastic bag holder.

My friend saw the bag holder when we had brunch at my place and she wanted one.
So I knitted another bag for her, in different colour.

The project completed in 3 days only, finished on 29th March 2011 and 31st May 2011.

Crochet Slippers in double thread Alpaca

I bought a combination of Garnstudio Alpaca and Vivaldi yarns to make the ‘Hot Pink Stocking St Bolero with Rib Edges with Vivaldi and Alpaca from Garn Studio’. It turned out to be the wrong project. So, I ended up with 2 extra balls of Alpaca yarn. So I crocheted this pair of slippers.

I also added buttons to complement the whole look.

Project was completed in 2 days only, finished on 5th Jan 2011.

Easy Garter Scarf

This scarf is made of a combination of 2 unused yarns that my friend gave to me. I decided to make a scarf as a Valentine’s gift for my boyfriend.
I really love the colour combination and it’s very easy to knit as well.

The project was completed in 6 days, finished on 4th Jan 2011.
